Winter 2009

Welcome to the first OHSSL Winter 09 E-Newsletter!

The Executive Committee of the Ohio High School Speech League has decided to add our newsletters to the web site, rather than mail them to the coaches of member schools and the retired coaches of the Hall of Fame (retired coaches without Internet capability will receive a printed copy, however). This is one more step in our efforts to provide information to our coaches and students, utilize 21^st century technology, promote the League, and conserve the League’s resources.

State Tournament Information:

The OHSSL State Tournament will be held on March 5, 6, and 7 at Mason High School (Greater Miami Valley District). Registration confirmation takes place at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, the 5^th at the Great Wolf Lodge in the Conference Center. This is held in conjunction with the Hall of Fame reception to welcome Manny Halkias (Canton McKinley HS) and Gay Janis (Gilmour Academy) into the Hall of Fame and will be followed with the coaches meeting...
